I'd like to tell you that this music has a connection with the dada movement, what Dada was, may still be or maybe never was. But instead of doing that, I'd rather you listen to it and come to your own conclusion about what the music says to you, and how it makes you feel.

What I will tell you is that the Dada connection is based on a slide blues guitar tuning, which differs from the traditional guitar tuning of E A D G B E. Instead it is tuned as D A D A B E, thus the dadabeat.

What further makes this music unique is its use of multiple rhythms using Jazz, Andalusian and West African influences. The use of the Indian Tanpura, an ancient instrument, adds an especially rich and vibrant texture throughout all these songs. It creates an interesting wall of sound around the melodies which are both haunting and energetic. The rich harmonic tone can appear lush on slower tunes and almost driving on the up tempo selections. Overall, the experience is new, varied and always interesting. The many textures and layers of the music will provide amazing revelations with every listen.

Relax, listen, dance, create and above all, be like Dada!

The CD cover art is a charcoal rendering of a well known Man Ray photograph titled Violon D' Ingres. It was taken in 1924. Man Ray was one of many artists who was associated with the Dada movement, which many believed was the pre-cursor to other art movements such as surrealism and modern art.
